17 South
-
Charleston's Premiere Wedding & Party Band
With 3-horn arrangements, 17 South delivers a huge and classy sound
ranging from Motown and R & B cover tunes to Earth, Wind & Fire +
classic big band swing tunes. The band is a handpicked all-star
group
of musicians from Charleston, South Carolina that have played with
everybody from The Temptations and Four Tops to Frank Sinatra and
Tony Bennett.
How We Got Together
The horn section, Chuck Dalton, Jon Phillips and
Phil King felt there was a shortage of quality horn
bands in the Southeast coastal area. They set
about to hand pick a group of top players that had
the same mindset, talent and dedication.

South rocked our wedding reception! We really enjoyed their
high energy and great sound. They kept our guests dancing all
night long and were loads of fun. The best part is that they were
having as much fun on stage as we were under the tent. We
can't wait to see them perform again.

Stephen & Jaime Fernandez - Charleston Tea Plantation
In
my years of party planning, I have never heard a more
professional group. Your music set the tone for the event and
was outstanding. 17 South was punctual, well planned,
diverse in music and really knew how to read the crowd.
Clients and coworkers are looking forward to next year's party
and I'll be at ease with 17 South leading the entertainment.
