We Make Wedding Receptions A "Rockin" Dance Party!

When it comes to wedding receptions, THE BAND IS THE PARTY! Wedding receptions should bring two new families together and it can happen best with everyone having a great time on the dance floor. All ages and tastes should have songs they love to listen and dance to throughout the evening and we play it all. Our huge variety of music includes 60's, & 70's & 80's, rock, Motown, swing, beach music, soul, pop, disco, Sinatra, easy listening, rhythm and blues, standards, Black Eyed Peas, beautiful ballads and much more. We mix it up all night long to keep the party going. We are one of the most popular wedding bands on the East Coast playing from Boston to Key Largo and all cities in-between.

Many brides and wedding planners enjoy the convenience of having our band be a one stop shop. If you want trumpet fanfare or herald trumpets for the wedding we can do it. If you want a cocktail pianist during dinner we have it. If you want a jazz quartet or trio for an hour before the big band kicks off the dance party....we have that too. And yes, we can emcee the event, the announcements, the works. Great wedding receptions need good timing and show biz appeal.

Concerts That Bring Audiences To Their Feet!

Concerts are another one of our specialties. Memorial Day, Veterans Day, Flag Day, Vineyard Concerts, Festivals, 4th of July, Salute to the Troops and more all bring out the best in our big band. We enjoy getting the kids and families to interact with the band during our dance contests, music trivia and band sing-alongs. We even furnish prizes to the winners. From Armed Forces anthems to "God Bless the USA", our music stirs the soul and brings audiences to their feet.

Corporate Parties and themed events!

The Andrew Thielen Big Band is proud to team with the Blues Brothers from Universal Studios for a complete LIVE show and dance. This act is the ONLY officially licensed tribute show. As "the band" we perform arrangements from "Sweet Home Chicago" to "Rawhide." After the show our big band plays variety music for dancing while the Blues Brothers sign autographs and pose for photos with guests. Other themes from disco nights to speak-easy parties are available.

Holiday Parties with Zing that make you Sing!

If it's Christmas or Valentines Day....we are just a phone call away. Our musical library has all the holiday songs from the past fifty years. Around the holidays you will hear Rockin Around The Christmas Tree, Santa Baby, I'll Be Home For Christmas, Merry Christmas Darling, Feliz Navidad, the Christmas Song and many more. Valentines Day we have the songs of LOVE like L.O.V.E, Stay Together, When I Fall In Love, I Can't Help Falling In Love With You, At Last, and more. Whatever the dancing surface may be, the Andrew Thielen Big Band wants to make your feet and musical spirit happy. We even like the challenge of taking "requests" from the audience to prove our musical diversity. Professional ballroom dancers and debutante balls use us because few bands can play the required foxtrots, waltzes, Latin dances, rumbas or cha-chas appropriately. But it doesn't matter if you are a beginning shagger, a ballroom dancing star or a young debutante-- we will have you moving and grooving. If you still prefer to just watch, it is a real treat to see all those live saxophones, blazing brass and a hot vocalist belting out the tunes. If that isn't enough to get your heart racing.... our electrifying double bass drum solo will.
