Solo Guitar
Clelia Reardon/Classical Guitarist

A local Charlestonian, Clelia Reardon has more that 20 years of performing experience in Solo as well as chamber Music. She has studied with some of the worlds' most renowned Classical "guitarist and has participated in many classes and workshops. Clelia is a member of the Guitar Foundation of America, the International Classical Guitar foundation, the International Classical Guitar foundation, the Piedmont Guitar Society and the Palmetto Guitar Society. Locally she has appeared on television and radio as well as many local concerts and recital series. Clelia has enjoyed performing in most of Charleston's Historical sites, major resorts, country clubs, plantations, gardens, and reception sites indoor and outdoor.

Clelia's musical studies have been in musical education as well as guitar performance. She has studied with Christopher Berg at University of South Carolina and Michael Polous at the College of Charleston and done multiple master classes with some of the worlds most renowned guitarist such as Fredrick Hand of Mannes College in New York, as well as Andrew York of the Los Angels Guitar Quartet. She has performed Solo guitar since she was 16 years old and is versatile in multiple styles of guitar including Classical, Jazz, and Popular to name a few.  Clelia is also a composer and arranger and some of her critically acclaimed original compositions have been  featured and choreographed with the Robert Ivey Ballet Company. She has been featured on eight recordings, done multiple Piccolo Spoleto performances since it's premier year, performed more than 30 local Broadway shows with Some of Charleston Finest Theater Companies such as Robert Ivey, Footlight players, the Charleston Stage Company at the Dock Street theater as well as the College of Charleston Theater Department.  Clelia has participated as an artist in resident for the Charleston and Berkeley County School Arts programs. Clelia has performed at ever resort in the area and the countless wedding and receptions have taken her to just about every historical location in Charleston, S.C.  Even with her busy concert schedule, Clelia found time to open her own teaching studio and Retail store with her husband Bob.  After 13 years in business they have grown to a new location with four guitar instructors.

Beth Heywood and Clelia Reardon are known throughout Charleston for their work in concert series such as Piccolo Spoleto. They has also performed at may private functions, receptions as well as weddings. This two of a kind duo offers an elegant mix of instrumental music well suited of Charleston's beautiful historical sites.

Beth Heywood
Beth Heywood has her Bachelor's Degree in Flute Performance from North Texas State University and also attended the Boston Conservatory of Music.  She taught privately in Texas for many years before moving to Charleston where she currently teaches music in the public school system.  She has been freelanced in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and in a variety of settings in Charleston, including Piccolo Spoleto.  She is also an accomplished pianist and accompanies various groups, with a recent performance at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.

A Trio that offers a unique blend of chamber music that is perfect for the historical locations of Charleston. All three classically trained musicians are known throughout Charleston for their work in concert and recital series such as Piccolo Spoleto. They have also performed at many private functions, receptions, as well as weddings. All three musicians are also local Music educators who participate as artists in residents in South Carolina Music Educational programs.

The Trio music is an elegant mix of Renaissance, Baroque and Classical music that provides a historical backdrop for Charleston's beautiful historical sites.

Helen Greenfield 
is originally from Wilmington Island, Savannah, Georgia, where she began the study of cello at age ten. She earned her Bachelor of Music degree from Columbus State University, studying with Donovan Schumacher, former principal cellist of the Atlanta Symphony. She then completed her Master’s degree in Music from Montclair State College, where she studied with Chaim Zemach, cellist with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra.

Ms. Greenfield has toured Canada and New York state and has appeared in New York City at the Lincoln Center as part of the Chataqua Festival Orchestra.  She has performed as principal cellist of the San Marcos Symphony in Phoenix, Arizona where she was also a founding member of the Café String Quartet, an ensemble that premiered contemporary music.

Currently, Helen Greenfield freelances throughout the Southeast, performing Solo Cello with a unique blend of original arrangements of classical, jazz, and popular tunes to showcase the lush, chordal richness of the cello as a solo instrument. She also performs regularly with the La Mer Violin and Cello Duo, The Christopher Teves Trio (classical guitar, flute, & cello), the Savannah Symphony, and the Charleston Symphony Orchestra. She also teaches private cello lessons.

Associate Artist
Clelia Reardon contracts with many other local musicians such as her sister , Daun Stuart a well known Flutist and music educator in the Summerville and Charleston Area.  Daun Stuart, as well as many other local musicians, allow for flexibility in scheduling as well as versatility in instrumentation.  All members and associate artist of Clelia's Ensembles are experienced
professional musicians that pride themselves in upholding a standard of professional excellence and in being responsible, punctual and easy to work with.
