Christopher Christ

Christopher Christ has played guitar for more than fifty years, since he was ten.

“I guess I’ve played almost every kind of music, in all types of venues,” he said recently, “from jazz and R&B places to country clubs and society-type settings as well as night clubs, hotels and restaurants all over the East and Mid-west and Internationally.  It sure was fun to play with jazz legends such as Lou Donaldson, Johnny Lytle, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Sonny Stitt, Don Patterson, etc.”

Originally from Philadelphia, Chris has lived in Ft. Lauderdale most of his life.  Recently, he’s been playing his trio in the Asheville, N.C. area at places like the Grove Park Inn and the Biltmore House as well as country clubs and restaurants in that area.

“Moving to Charleston in 1999 has been a rewarding experience; the music scene here is exciting, and the quality of the local musicians is extraordinary”.

“I feel there’s an audience for jazz, swing, Brazilian music, and the sounds Cole Porter, Ellington and the like.  I enjoy playing something smooth and swinging…and something pretty.”

The trio’s personnel can be adjusted to meet any space or musical requirements.
