Latin Groove
Latin Groove is a pop jazz / soft jazz ensemble consisting of classical guitar, electric guitar, electric bass, percussion, and electric Piano / synthesizer.
Their repertoire consists of a few vocal arrangements, but focuses mostly on instrumental versions of Latin standards, contemporary pop jazz, and original Latin jazz.
They are perfect for background music at a wedding reception or corporate event.
Cristóbal Bio
Guitar virtuoso Cristóbal brings an original, fresh sound that delights and enthralls audiences.
Originating from the Southwest, he was enriched by the traditional Latin music of Colorado and New Mexico in a diverse, musical family environment. After initially studying jazz saxophone, Cristóbal became enamored of the guitar's immense tonal spectrum and complex chord possibilities. Excelling in both instruments, he earned recognition as a soloist in the classical and jazz genres. Additionally, he performed as the lead guitarist in a variety of bands that performed in genres such as R&B, funk, country and popular rock.
A composer as well, Cristóbal developed his own unique, contemporary style inspired by his Latin roots. Cristóbal's debut CD, “Guitarra Contenta”, combines the styles of Latin guitar, Brazilian jazz, rock and salsa. The album includes sambas, Latin funk, smooth grooves, as well as exotic, rhythmic, Middle Eastern creations.
Cristóbal continually mesmerizes and entertains with his technical finesse and unforgettable melodies.
