Mike Greene, DJ

Mike is a former on-air radio personality most recently with “Oldies 102.5” WXLY in
Charleston , SC. He is a seasoned entertainer having performed in the spotlight for over 20 years….first as a drummer in local dance bands and for the past 15 years as a Disc Jockey.

Mike has played for hundreds of gatherings, weddings, and celebrations.
His play list is wide and varied…everything from the great music of yesterday, 50’s & 60’s R&R, and Big Band, on up through and including the 70’s, 80’s & 90’s, and the top hits of today.  Classic Country hits and, of course, Carolina Beach Music are included. (He has played the annual Beach Music party in Beaufort for the past 14 years).

Mike uses only professional, state-of-the-art equipment and digital media, delivering the very best sound available.

In addition to wedding receptions, his specialties include fun filled events like: Picnics, Rock ’n Roll Oldies shows (often including Trivia, Limbo & Hula-Hoop Contests, Dance Contests, even Lip-sync contests), Shag (Beach) parties, Reunions, Wedding rehearsal parties and more.

For wedding receptions, in addition to providing the music, he can act as “Master of Ceremonies” leading the Bride and Groom and their guests through all the traditional wedding reception festivities…  the announcement of the wedding party, through the first dance, the Father/Daughter & Mother/Son dances, the toast and cake cutting ceremonies, the bouquet and garter tosses.

Mike makes a point to make the celebration fun for everyone and to play a wide variety of music to make sure everyone gets up and has a good time. Mike’s play list includes well over 2,000 tried and true favorites. He has access to tens of thousands of songs in his library…far too many to list here.  Virtually any song or any style of music is available for any type of event.

Of course the entire reception is planned per the wedding couple’s desires.  Specific songs, and parts of the reception are discussed in advance and an outline is developed for sharing between the caterer, the photographer, and all involved.  It’s little extras like these that make the party flow smoothly and ensure that no one is left wondering, “What do we do next?”

I believe the difference between a good disc jockey and a great disc jockey is in knowing what to play and when to play it.  This comes with experience. When Mike Greene DJ’s an event, you can rest assured you have a well prepared, experienced professional entertaining your group.

TESTIMONIAL

David,

Thank you for sending Mike Green to dj our party yesterday 1-13-08 for our daughter's sweet sixteen. He did a fabulous job, especially with the odd mix of guests that we had. We had fun ourselves, which is rare for us to do when we host a party.
